The beach north of Baleal is called Praia do Baleal Norte. Here you have two breaks: Prainha and Lagide. Prainha is located on the south end of this bay and it is a nice and easy beach break, perfect for beginners and surf schools. There can be both lefts and rights depending on the swell direction and the position of the sand banks, but the lefts are more common.

It’s an easy and forgiving wave that is also great for boards with more volume. This spot can work with all tides, but from mid to high is normally the best. Prainha is offshore with wind from a southern direction.
