Papucos is a wave that is located on the south side of the beach called Praia do Sul, close to Ericeira center. This hollow lefthander breaks over a flat rock bottom and can produce nice, short barrels when the conditions are right. The take-off, close to the rocks from the pier, is tricky and therefore only suitable for advanced surfers.

Be prepared to share the lineup with bodyboarders and watch out for the rips when the waves are bigger at Papucos.
